If your Cecotec Conga robot vacuum cleaner stops and beeps, this can be due to several reasons. Here are some possible causes and solutions.
If your Cecotec Conga robot vacuum cleaner stops and beeps, this can be due to several reasons. Here are some possible causes and solutions:
- Obstacles or blockages: the robot may stop and beep if it encounters an obstacle or gets stuck. Check that there are no objects or wires in its path and make sure it is working in a clear area.
- Low battery: If the battery is low, the robot may stop and beep to indicate that it needs to be recharged. Connect the robot to the charge base and make sure it is fully charged before restarting cleaning.
- Dirty sensors: Obstacle and fall detection sensors can become dirty over time and cause the robot to stop. Wipe the sensors with a clean, soft cloth.
- Full filter or tank: If the filter or dirt tank is full, the robot may stop. Empty the tank and make sure the filter is clean before continuing.
- Mechanical problems: If the robot has any mechanical problems, such as stuck wheels or blocked brushes, it may stop and beep. Visually inspect the robot for possible problems and clean it if necessary.
- Firmware upgrades: Firmware upgrades can sometimes fix operational problems. Make sure the robot has the latest firmware version installed.
Errors on your Cecotec Conga robot by number of beeps
To find out the error on your Conga based on the number of beeps, we first need to see if the red light is steady or flashing.
Errors according to the number of beeps of your Conga with fixed red light
- 1 beep: Conga robots usually emit 1 beep when a wheel is stuck. Removing the wheel and cleaning it will solve the problem. Important: the robot must be restarted before using it again.
- 2 beeps: If you hear 2 beeps, it is quite likely that the side brush of your Conga robot is blocked. The brush must be disassembled and cleaned to fix the problem.
- 3 beeps: When a Conga emits 3 beeps the problem may be in the fans, filter or motor. The easiest thing to do is to remove the filters and clean them. If the problem is not solved and we see that the filters are not in good condition, the best thing to do is to change the filters. If after cleaning or changing the filters the 3 beeps are still present, the best thing to do is to contact our technical service to assess what the problem is.
- 4 beeps: If you hear 4 beeps in your Conga you will have to check the central brush because the reason is that it cannot rotate. It is probably stuck and simply cleaning the brush and replacing it will solve the problem.
Errors according to the number of beeps of your Conga with red light flashing
With the red light flashing the errors of the Conga are usually more complicated to solve by yourself. The most likely causes are listed below, but you may need to contact our service department to fix the problem.
- 2 beeps: The bumper of your Conga has become dislodged. Pressing the sides and/or the center of the bumper, try to put it back in its original position. It is advisable to check if there is an obstacle that could cause it to disengage again and, if so, fix it so as not to have this problem again.
- 3 beeps: The fall arrest sensor is dirty or broken. It is important to correct it especially if we have the possibility of our Conga falling down some stairs as it happens in houses with two or more floors and the robot is used on the upper floors.
- 4 beeps: The Conga is not able to return to the charge base. Clean the charge base thoroughly with a cloth and check that there is no obstacle preventing the Conga from returning to the base normally.
Special case: 5 beeps from your Conga robot
Conga robots of models such as the 1090 or 1390 may emit 5 beeps while on the charge base. This is not really an error or a malfunction. These 5 beeps are a warning set by the manufacturer, Cecotec, to draw the user's attention and indicate that your Conga is intended for daily use. If it is not used daily, these 5 beeps are emitted.
Cecotec's more detailed explanation is that daily use is recommended to warn the user that the Conga is connected to the base and is not being used. If a user finds these 5 beeps annoying, the solution is to turn off on the side when the Conga is not going to be used daily.
